Our commitment

Columbine Home Builders wants this website to be usable by everyone, including people who use a keyboard, a screen reader, screen magnification or other assistive technology. We are working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA.

Conformance status

This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not yet fully meet the standard. The known gaps are listed in section 04.

The website has not yet been audited by an independent accessibility specialist. This statement is based on a self-evaluation by the team that built the site, and it will be updated when an audit is complete.

Accessibility features

The website includes the following:

• A "Skip to content" link at the start of every page
• A visible focus indicator on links, buttons and form fields
• Navigation that works with a keyboard, including the menu on smaller screens, which closes with the Escape key
• Text descriptions for meaningful images; decorative images are hidden from screen readers
• Contact form fields with visible labels, and error messages that are linked to the field they describe
• A pause control on every section that advances on its own: the homepage highlights, the homepage process steps and the project slideshow
• Scroll animations, parallax effects and automatic slideshows that turn off when your device is set to reduce motion
• A site map, so every page can be reached from a single list as well as through the navigation

Known limitations

We know about the following:

• The project maps are visual. Every project shown on a map is also listed, with its type and status, on the projects page.
